Vault Key

The Vault Key is a late-game key item used to open vault-tier chests at fortified Blackbeard sites and Senkamati strongholds. The vaults it opens hold the highest-density loot pools in the game outside of named boss arenas.

How to Get

Vault Keys drop from named lieutenants at fortified Blackbeard outposts and from quest reward caches. The drop is rare; one key opens one vault, so plan the route to maximize the per-key payout.

Tips

Vault chests often contain Recipe Papers, Munitions stacks, and high-tier Plans: Tempered 36-Pounders-grade plans. Save Vault Keys for known late-game vaults rather than the first sealed chest you find.
