The Torn Hat is a personal effect belonging to Marcel Boucher, the doomed expedition captain whose three-part diary chain ends at the same site this hat is found at.

The hat is a lore and quest item rather than a wearable piece of Armor and Equipment, so it has no Defense value and cannot be equipped. Recovering it confirms the fate of the lost hunting party and is one of the keepsakes that advances the Glorious Hunters quest. Carry it back, together with the Last Letter, to Henri Boucher to close out that step of the questline.

The brim of the leather hat is torn in several places. The name "Marcel Boucher" is embroidered on the lining.
