Sail the ship to a Wharf and dock it. Open the Manage Ship menu, switch to the Customization tab, and select Hull. Once the matching Style Book has been read, Seasoned Oak appears in the paint list; previewing it swaps the live ship model immediately. Confirm to apply. There is no Guinea cost to repaint after the design is unlocked.
Seasoned Oak is added to the customization menu by reading Style Book: Stock Hull Colors, a one-time-read book that also grants Black Powder and Maiden Timber. The book is sold by the Brethren of the Coast Provisioner for 30 Guinea. As a baseline set it is not tied to high faction standing, but the cosmetic Provisioner stock must be open before the book can be bought. Reading it adds the paints permanently for that character; other characters in a shared base each need their own copy.
This cosmetic name appears in the database under the Brig-class entry, but the underlying design is shared across Brig, Frigate, and Ketch hull classes. Once the Style Book is read, the option is available for every ship class your character has built or unlocked.
