Sealed Temple

The Sealed Temple is a locked dungeon POI in the Foothills biome. It is the boss arena for Israel Hands, the Foothills biome boss, and the dungeon's ancient chest holds some of the most valuable drops in the mid-game.

How to Access

The Sealed Temple is locked at the outer door. The unlock is part of the Needle in a Haystack questline, which points the player to Foothills pirate camps to recover key items before the temple can be entered.

The canonical unlock item is the Foothills Temple Key. Some community guides describe a multi-key variant (three Ritual Keys looted from three of Israel Hands's lieutenants at different Foothills pirate camps). The launch-build unlock flow resolves through the questline prompt; follow the quest marker to reach the active door.

The Boss Fight

Inside the temple, the player faces Israel Hands, a Foothills boss tuned for Level 9-10 play. Required preparation: all five gear pieces at Level 10, Epic where available, and Spicy "Chicken" with Sweet Potato (or an equivalent Vitality dish) for the pre-fight buff.

Ancient Chest Loot

At the back of the arena sits an ancient chest that holds the primary reward for clearing the Sealed Temple:

• Soul Eater - a Strength-scaling greatsword with a health-drain special attack

• Charon's Obol - a high-value trade item

• 200 Undead Essence - used in late-game alchemy and enchanted-weapon crafting

• 50 XP bonus

The Soul Eater in particular is one of the named weapons the community treats as a notable pick for builds that want 2H life drain, so the temple clear is a standard mid-game stop whether or not the player plans to keep running the Foothills.
