Narrative journal line the game writes once the final stage closes out:
"The New World draws adventurers from every corner of the globe. Some believe so deeply in a Heaven on Earth that they become fanatics, losing all sense and reason. The story of the "New Ark" ended with the cultists dead, but it left more questions than answers."
Stages

Stage 1: Look for Clues About the Killers
The abandoned corpse doesn't look like pirate handiwork. They favor rope, lead, or a cut throat. Whoever hung the body meant for it to be seen, and worked hard at it.
Stage 2: Go to Tortuga and Report the Murders
I found more corpses tied to ship wheels. I should head to Tortuga and report the murders.
Stage 3: Find the Witness on the Ship
Ben wasn't surprised by the murders. He said similar bodies had been turning up across the archipelago for months and asked me to escort a witness, fearing for his safety.

Stage 4: Ask Letty About the Cultists
The killers got to the witness first. Among his belongings was a letter addressed to a girl named Letty in Tortuga. She might know something.
Stage 5: Find and Search the New Ark
The girl told me about a cult known as the Children of the Ark and about the ship belonging to its leader.
The New Ark is anchored directly east of Tortuga, so sail out to it once Letty points the way. Boarding the ship pits you against a deck packed with Drowned enemies, and every one of them has to be cleared before the stage will advance. Bring combat-ready gear and expect a fight rather than a quiet search.
Stage 6: Return to Long Ben
The New Ark has become a floating grave for the cultists. I should tell Long Ben that someone dealt with the sect before we did.
Story Notes
Sacrificial Lamb is the introduction to the cult known as the Children of the Ark, a group whose members believe so completely in a paradise on earth that they turn to murder. The trail of bodies tied to ship wheels leads from the Cursed Swamps back to Long Ben in Tortuga, and finally out to the cult's own ship, the New Ark. By the time you reach it, someone has already wiped out the sect, leaving the quest to close on an unsettled note rather than a clean resolution.
