Richards' Lieutenant

Richards' Lieutenant is a named Sergeant-tier officer who serves under Captain Thomas Richards, one of Blackbeard's lieutenants. The Lieutenant carries the standard Sergeant kit but is positioned as a quest-relevant officer kill in the chain that targets Richards' line of authority.

Combat Notes

Richards' Lieutenant fights as a standard Sergeant: pistol-and-saber officer with a tight melee guard and a single ranged shot per encounter. Their relevant differences from a generic Sergeant come from positioning rather than stats:

• Always escorted by Deckhands or other Sergeants from the same camp, so the kill window depends on breaking those line-of-sight first.

• Tied to a fixed quest spawn point. Once the quest fires, the Lieutenant does not respawn for that character until the quest resets.

• Drops a guaranteed Guinea, the same currency drop as other Sergeants.

Drops

Richards' Lieutenant is also expected to drop Richards' Crew Key on relevant quest steps, opening locked Blackbeard chests inside the linked outpost.
