The Raven is a ship flag cosmetic in Windrose, applied at the Shipwright to customize a player ship's flagstaff. It is a decorative flag design, not a creature, companion bird, or pet: the name refers to the raven motif printed on the banner. The Raven design is associated with the Brethren of the Coast.

One day, every soul feeds the ravens, or the monsters below. This captain just makes sure his foes are served first.

How to Apply

Bring the ship to a Shipwright-built Wharf, open the customization menu, and select the matching flag slot. Raven appears in the option list once the unlock condition (Style Book or stock availability) is met. Switching flags is free, so a captain can swap the Raven on and off without losing the design.

Where to Find

Unlocked by reading the matching Style Book, sold by the Brethren of the Coast Provisioner. The relevant book is Style Book: Brethren Flag Designs, which carries the faction's flag set including the Raven motif. Style Books for the Brethren of the Coast are priced in Guineas, not Piastres, and gated behind Faction Reputation tiers, so building standing with the Brethren comes first.

Compatible Ships

This cosmetic name appears in the database under the Brig-class entry, but the underlying design is shared across Brig, Frigate, and Ketch hull classes. Once the Style Book is read, the option is available for every ship class your character has built or unlocked, including the Brethren tank variants.

Notes

• The Raven is purely visual. A flag design has no effect on a ship's speed, cargo, or combat stats; it only changes the banner shown on the flagstaff.

• Because it is faction-themed, flying the Raven signals an allegiance to the Brethren of the Coast rather than unlocking any in-world reputation bonus.
