Plans: Dueling Rapier

Plans: Dueling Rapier is a single-use Recipe Paper in Windrose. Reading it permanently unlocks the Dueling Rapier, a one-handed rapier-class blade.
Recipe Papers are looted in the world: most often from chests in pirate camps, ruins, and points of interest scattered across the archipelago. Some merchants in Tortuga also rotate a small selection of plans through their stock. The paper is consumed when it is read. Reading the paper adds the listed entry to the relevant crafting station's recipe list permanently for that character, with no further fee.
Reading the paper unlocks the Dueling Rapier at the Personal Weapons and Ship Fittings station. As a rapier, it is a one-handed Pierce weapon that scales with Precision, the stat that drives the rapier-and-pistol duelist style. For the full Pierce blade class, exact stats, and the rapiers confirmed in the live build, see the Rapiers page.
Note: the live Rapiers index currently lists four blades (the base Rapier, Rapier of a Thousand Cuts, Rapier of Devastation, and Sturdy Rapier). The Dueling Rapier's exact damage and effect values are not confirmed on the current item pages, so they are left out here rather than guessed; treat this plan as teaching a rapier-class blade and check the in-game station for its live stats.
Drops most reliably from looted chests in pirate camps and ruined points of interest, with occasional appearances in cargo crates from defeated NPC ships and in random trader stock at Tortuga. Once read, the unlocked entry is bound to the character that read it; share-base members must each find and read their own copy.

A rapier is the natural melee for a Precision build. If you read this plan, pair the blade with an off-hand pistol for the standard Precision dual-threat loadout.
Carry duplicates as trade bait. Until a base stockpiles every recipe paper for a set, an extra copy is a strong barter chip with other crews.
Read papers at a base, not on a ship, so you can preview new entries at the workshop immediately.
Once read, the unlock is permanent for that character. Reading a second copy does nothing, so a duplicate paper is best traded or sold.
