The Note to Juanita is a Smugglers-side lore note recovered from a fallen smuggler. The author writes to a woman named Juanita, and the note travels with the writer's skeleton, which is itself a separate world pickup.
The note is found alongside a smuggler-skeleton variant in the world. The letter text shown in the tooltip is short and partial, so the note works mainly as a pointer into the dead smuggler's broader story rather than a self-contained tale. It is pure flavor: a personal message left behind, not a quest item with a mechanical reward.
Recovered from a fallen smuggler's body in the world, the same skeleton-style pickup that yields its companion lore drop.
Cannot be crafted or bought; it exists only as a found collectible.
Stacks up to 20, so duplicates can be held together if you find more than one.
Note to Juanita is one half of a paired smuggler-skeleton story. It is found with the same body as the Smugglers' Anthem, so the two drops together fill in who the dead smuggler was and what he carried. The note is the personal thread, a message home, while the Anthem captures the culture he belonged to. Both tie into the Smugglers of Port Royal faction whose territory the body is most often found near. A named smuggler skeleton, the Skeleton of Juan de la Cosa, is one such body players encounter while exploring; check that page for the skeleton-side pickup.
