The Map Fragment with Coordinates is one of several map pieces needed to obtain a full coordinate set. The flavor line is signed by Israel Hands, who threatens death to anyone who loses the fragment.
The fragment is a collectible piece of a treasure-route puzzle rather than a usable tool. Each scrap holds only part of a coordinate string, so a full set has to be assembled before the numbers point anywhere. It stacks to 99, which lets a crew hoard many partial scraps while hunting for the missing pieces.
Several numbers are written in uneven handwriting on the tattered parchment. The remaining fragments are needed to obtain the full coordinates.
