The John's Dictionary is a hastily assembled translation aid for the Senkamati script, the same language preserved on the Well-Preserved Clay Tablet. The dictionary is full of crossed-out and rewritten entries, the in-fiction signal that the translator (John) had serious doubts about his own work.

A hastily assembled dictionary. The pages are filled with symbols in an unfamiliar language, accompanied by detailed explanations. Some lines are crossed out, rewritten, and crossed out again, as if the translator had serious doubts about their conclusions.
