Improved Sewing Tools is an Epic-rarity vendor-only resource in Windrose. It unlocks the Epic tier of its associated tailoring tree, the upgraded counterpart to the Rare-tier Sewing Tools. It is required for crafting high quality clothing made of fabric and is purchased from the People of Tortuga.

Purchased from the People of Tortuga Provisioner at the People of Tortuga. Each unit costs 20 Piastre, which is double the 10-Piastre price of the Rare-tier base tool sold by the same faction. The pattern holds across all four Improved tool variants.

There is no player-craft path for this item. It is purchased and consumed as a crafting-station unlock rather than produced from raw materials. Players who plan to push a full Epic tier of the associated armor or weapon line should budget 20 Piastre plus reputation time with the People of Tortuga. Reputation with that faction climbs through the standard tiers at 0, 100, 400, and 1000, so the Provisioner becomes available once the player has done a little trading and questing in Tortuga.

What it Unlocks

Improved Sewing Tools adds the Epic-tier fabric clothing recipes to the crafting menu, layered on top of the Rare-tier Marksman's Rig and Privateer's Regalia sets enabled by the base Sewing Tools. Both of those sets are the cloth-line armors in Windrose, so the Improved tool is the gate for any player chasing the strongest fabric gear.

The base-tier tool stays installed alongside the Improved variant; the two do not replace each other. The Improved variant simply adds the Epic-tier recipes to the crafting menu in addition to the Rare-tier ones already enabled. Once unlocked, the recipes draw on refined cloth produced at the Spinning Wheel, so a tailoring base usually keeps both the tool unlock and a spinning station on hand.

Tier Progression

Tailoring tools follow a clean two-step ladder. Buying the Improved tool only makes sense once the base tool is already installed and the player wants the higher tier of cloth recipes.
