Fences is the low barrier pieces that enclose outdoor areas without requiring a full wall. Windrose offers 10 fence pieces including standard fences, gates, palisades, and rope fences.
Piece | Cost | Max HP | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
Fence (Sticks) | Plant Fiber x1 | 750 | Woven Pillars and Beams |
Fence (Logs) | Wood x2 | 750 | Timber Pillars, Beams, and Fences |
Gate (Logs) | Wood x4 | 1,000 | Timber Pillars, Beams, and Fences |
Palisade (Logs) | Wood x3 | 1,500 | Palisade Walls and Gates |
Rope Fence | Plant Fiber x3 | 750 | Automatically unlocked |
Fence (Stone) | Stone x5 | 750 | Mahogany Staircases and Railings |
Fences are waist-height and can be jumped over by both players and most AI enemies. They are purely decorative for base defense. Walls are full-height and block movement entirely.
For defensive enclosures use Palisade (Logs) or the Stockade category instead of fences. Palisades are taller and have much higher Max HP (1,500 versus 750).
Gate (Logs) is a hinged fence piece that opens and closes, just like a door. Place it at the access point of a fenced area. It works with Palisade walls as well as log fences.
Use Fence (Sticks) for pens and farm-plot boundaries on any starter island. Cheap, fast, and the Woven Pillars and Beams plan is automatic.
Rope Fence is the signature pier-side look. Pair with Piers for a coherent dockside aesthetic.
Palisade (Logs) is much sturdier than regular fences and is the right choice for defensive camp boundaries.
Do not rely on fences to keep enemies out. Use Stockades for outpost defense; fences are aesthetic only.
Gates (Logs) only open from a specific side. Plan the hinge direction before committing to the plan.
