Learning this plan unlocks the Simple tier of flagpoles: lightweight banners made of untreated wood, practical for campsites and temporary stops. The plan is part of the Jungle Survivor building set, the earliest decoration set most crews unlock, so these flagpoles are usually the first Flag decorations a player can place at a new camp.
A Recipe Paper is a single-use plan. Reading one permanently teaches every recipe it lists to the character who used it, after which the paper is consumed. This plan teaches all seven color variants of the Simple flagpole at once, so a single read unlocks the full color range rather than one color at a time.
Each Simple flagpole counts toward the Flag decoration category, granting Comfort +1 when placed inside Bonfire range. Comfort within a single category does not stack, so placing more than one flagpole gives no extra Comfort; the variants are purely cosmetic color choices for the same +1 bonus.

The Simple flagpoles taught here are the entry tier. Two later plans teach higher-quality flagpoles in the same seven colors at the same Comfort +1 value: Decoration: Residence Flagpoles teaches the Elegant tier, and Decoration: Port Flagpoles teaches the Fine tier. All flagpoles fall under the Banners decoration group.
This plan is found as loot and from vendors in the early hub regions rather than crafted. Specific drop sources and chances are not confirmed for the current build.
