Curtain Rails is a copper hanging rod used to mount curtain decorations in Windrose. It is the structural piece that the various curtain styles attach to, and on its own it provides no comfort bonus.
Place above a window or open archway, then attach a curtain piece from the build menu. The combined assembly grants the curtain's full comfort bonus once both pieces are within Bonfire range.
Curtains belong to the wall-decoration family, alongside paintings, banners, and wall lamps. Each decoration subcategory contributes to your comfort level only while at least one of its pieces sits inside the Bonfire radius, and bonuses within the same Curtains category do not stack. Hanging one curtain is enough to claim the category's bonus; adding more is purely decorative.
Curtain Rails on their own grant no comfort bonus, since they are the rod and not the cloth. Only curtain pieces that hang from the rod count toward the Curtains comfort category. The rail is cheap, with a single Copper Ingot per rod, so the real cost of a furnished wall is the curtain cloth you mount on it.
