2121 Beyond the weapon resource, the Cursed Swamps contain tainted forest zones where a Wood Plague meter fills the entire time you stand in the corrupted area. A red bar climbs on screen, and if it reaches its cap the plague kills you and sends you back to your last revival point. Objects inside the zone visibly look diseased, which is the cue that the meter is active.
