The Children of the New Ark Manifesto is a readable lore item that sets out the creed of the Children of the New Ark, the doomsday cult at the center of the Sacrificial Lamb storyline. It is the clearest single statement of what the cult believes and who leads them.

Manifesto Text

We are the Children of the New Ark. We are the planks in its sides, the sails on its masts, the nails in its ribs. We are scattered souls gathered into one by Divine will.

Sinners will rot in the womb of the tainted earth, while the New Ark will sail upon blessed waves.

The Head is our steadfast helmsman. As the sea obeys the wind, so we heed His Word. Whoever listens shall be lifted up; whoever disobeys shall be cursed and know torments beyond number, forever suspended between earth and sky, never finding the true course.

We renounce the burden of the worldly: only the pure of heart and humble of soul will reach the promised harbor.

We believe the End of Days is at hand. Soon the Abyss of Hell will yawn open and swallow this world steeped in sin. We are the chosen, and therefore we shall be saved.

We are the Children of the New Ark.

How To Obtain

The manifesto is collected as a found document while working through cult-related content, including the Sacrificial Lamb quest. It stacks up to 10 and is a pure lore item with no crafting or combat use.

Lore Significance

The text frames the cult as a single "ship" of gathered souls steered by a figure they call "the Head," whose word they follow as the sea follows the wind. It preaches that the End of Days is near, that the sinful world will be swallowed by the Abyss, and that only the cult’s chosen will be saved. This is the belief system that Michael Hardy’s Letter shows people trying to escape, and it explains the cult’s willingness to kill defectors. The reverent, scripture-like tone marks the Children of the New Ark as fanatics rather than ordinary pirates.
