The Brethren of the Coast Buyer is the Brethren-side faction Buyer for crafted naval supplies. Where the Trade Goods Merchant offers cargo crates for purchase, the Buyer is the opposite of the trade: it pays Piastres for finished naval supplies you bring in. Selling here also progresses your Brethren reputation, which gates the better stock at the Brethren Provisioner.
The Brethren of the Coast Buyer is stationed at the Brethren of the Coast Main Base. The vendor stands close to the faction's Provisioner and Bounty Agent at the same camp, so a single visit can cover all three NPCs. Travel to the main base requires sailing access and, in most cases, a faction quest first contact: see Brethren of the Coast for the route in. The co-located NPCs are the Brethren of the Coast Provisioner and the faction Bounty Agent, letting one stop cover selling cargo, restocking, and turning in bounties.
This NPC settles transactions in Piastres. See Trading and Merchants for how the two currencies interact.
Items the Brethren of the Coast Buyer buys from you. Quantities and Piastre payouts are flat per unit.

The Buyer takes finished naval supplies, not raw materials, so the goods are crafted at your base before the trip. Combat Repair Kits and Master Combat Repair Kits double as in-fight hull repairs, so it is worth keeping a stack for sailing and selling only the surplus. Naval Supplies and Specialized Tools are higher-tier crafted goods and carry the largest payouts at this counter.
Good | Per-Unit Payout | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
10 Piastre | Cheap filler sale; keep a few for repairs | |
30 Piastre | Better repair throughput; sell extras | |
150 Piastre | Strong cash-out; the Brethren rate is the preferred sink | |
250 Piastre | Highest single-item payout at this counter |
Specialized Tools at 250 Piastres each is by far the highest single-item payout the Brethren Buyer offers, and the rate beats every general town buyer in the game. If you are crafting kits in bulk, route them to this NPC rather than the Tortuga Buyer.
Combat Repair Kits and Master Combat Repair Kits are easy to craft from sawn wood and tar. Any extras pulled from chests or piracy loot can be moved here for guaranteed Piastres rather than left to clutter your inventory.
Selling cargo here grants Brethren reputation per transaction, so even small repeat sales are useful when you are pushing toward a new tier of Brethren Provisioner stock.
Every transaction at the Brethren of the Coast Buyer grants Brethren of the Coast reputation, on top of the Piastre payout. Selling here is one of the steady, low-friction ways to climb reputation tiers without committing to a faction quest chain. See Faction Reputation for how reputation gates higher Provisioner stock. Reputation tiers open at fixed thresholds, so steady trade here compounds toward the next Brethren of the Coast Provisioner unlock.
