Overview

Blackbeard Outposts are pirate strongholds operated by Blackbeard's crew. They are distinct from the more common Pirate Camps POI class: outposts carry harder patrols, better-fortified structures, and loot that ties into main-story chains (notably the Black Marks of Revenge Is Best Served Cold).

What Blackbeard Outposts Contain

• Black Marks and other Revenge Is Best Served Cold quest items

• Gunpowder and ammunition caches, including Iron Bullets and Homemade Gunpowder

• Letters of Favor and Insignias

• Blackbeard crew enemies: patrols of Grenadiers, Juggernauts, and Pirate Sergeants

Typical Layout

Outposts are multi-section strongpoints with patrol zones at the perimeter, loot caches in the interior, and chest-guarding elites at the back. Approach the perimeter carefully; pulling whole camp is typically fatal.

Tips

• Stock at least two food buffs and 15+ healing items before assaulting an outpost.

• Muskets snipe outer patrols from range, which reduces the number of active swords on you at close quarters.

• Blackbeard Outposts are the main source of Black Marks for Revenge Is Best Served Cold and a key evidence source for The Bitter Pill.
