Amber Pitch is a hull paint cosmetic for ships in Windrose. The paint is applied at a player-built Wharf through the Manage Ship menu's Customization tab. It is a Buccaneer-themed scheme: the Buccaneers identity is purely cosmetic and changes only the colour of the hull, never its stats. Once unlocked, the paint can be repainted onto any eligible ship the player owns at no Guinea cost.

How to Unlock

Unlocked by reading the matching faction Hull Colors Style Book, sold by that faction's Provisioner. Reading the book permanently adds the paint to the Wharf customisation menu for that character. Style Books for hull paints are typically priced in the 30 Guinea range.

Faction

Themed for ships flying Rogue Buccaneers colours. The flavor description ties the paint scheme to that faction's identity, but the cosmetic is purely visual; ships of any class can wear it once the Style Book is read.

How to Apply

Sail the ship to a Wharf and dock it. Open the Manage Ship menu, switch to the Customization tab, and select Hull. The unlocked paints appear in the option list and previewing one swaps the live ship model immediately. Confirm to apply; there is no Guinea cost on application.

Hull paints in Windrose are tied to a hull type. A scheme unlocked for one ship class (Ketch, Brig, or Frigate) shows up when you customise a ship of that class; sail colours, by contrast, can be flown on any ship. Amber Pitch is the Buccaneer baseline (origin) scheme, so it is one of the earlier hull options most captains unlock. Other hull palettes come from books such as Style Book: Stock Hull Colors and Style Book: Brethren Hull Colors.
