Gear is central to progression in Wardens of Avalon. Crafting and upgrading your equipment is described as key to the journey, and taking good care of your land and your gear can even lead to new quests and adventures. The resources needed to build and improve that equipment are gathered out in the world while exploring Avalon.
Players gather materials and craft mighty weapons and suits of armor, then upgrade them over time. The workshops that make this possible are part of your fiefdom: opening new districts brings in craftspeople such as blacksmiths who let you forge and refine better gear as the settlement grows.
Crafted equipment can be imbued with powerful seals that better suit a player's chosen approach. Seals let a knight specialise a weapon or a suit of armor toward a particular style, reinforcing the freedom of the classless oath system. Whether a build leans on stunning hammer strikes, sacred fire power, or the risky use of corruption, seals help shape gear to match.
