BALUSHA Antique Shop

BALUSHA is the antique shop at the heart of VOID DIVER: Escape from the Abyss, located in a city where anomalies have become a part of daily life. The player runs this shop as its owner, and it forms the management side of the game that sits alongside the dungeon dives. Where the Divers descend into The Abyss to recover lost valuables, BALUSHA is where those valuables come back to be sold, studied, and turned into profit.
The shop is the home base for the Gameplay Loop. Between expeditions, the player returns to BALUSHA to handle the business side: deciding what to do with recovered goods, funding the next dive, and slowly growing the operation.
As the owner of BALUSHA, the player takes on the role of The Merchant. From the shop, the player supports the Divers and grows the business by trading the Artifacts and Relics those operatives bring back from the dungeon. The relic trade is not only a source of income. Dealing in forbidden relics gradually reveals the city's dark secrets, tying the management layer directly into the game's story.
This makes BALUSHA more than a storefront. It is the place where the loop of risk and reward closes: a dangerous dive only pays off once the recovered goods are processed back at the shop.
The shop-management layer expanded with the update tied to the June 2026 festival build. Between runs, players can invest more heavily into BALUSHA, with options that include the following.
Investment: Put earnings back into the shop to develop the business.
Customization: Personalize and customize the shop itself.
Hiring staff: Bring on staff to help run the operation.
High-value clients: Interact with high-value clients who deal in the recovered goods.
These additions deepen the connection between the dive layer and the management layer. Profits earned by surviving a dangerous expedition can be reinvested into a stronger shop, which in turn supports more ambitious dives.
Dungeon runs use a dedicated in-dungeon currency, Otherworld Coins, and later demo updates expanded where it can be earned and spent. A landmark called the Abyss ATM lets a Diver withdraw Otherworld Coins mid-run when funds run low; it appears in areas such as the Abandoned Police Station and the Cult-Occupied Office. A new vendor named WoAng sells trait material items in exchange for Otherworld Coins, though the price is steep; WoAng can be found in the Reading Room of Oblivion and the Avenger's Anomalous Space. Otherworld Coins were also added to the high-value VIP Secret Deal, so funds can now buy into those offers.
Reputation level-up costs were trimmed in the same update, easing the climb as the business grows. When negotiating with a VIP, the status tags on relics the player is carrying are now weighed first when working out what that client likes or dislikes, making relic selection a bigger factor in closing a good deal.
Later demo updates reworked how Otherworld Coins gate shop activity, after feedback that the coin requirement was too steep. Buying interior items, except for functional fixtures, now costs ordinary Money rather than Otherworld Coins, which lowers the barrier to decorating and outfitting the shop. The coin requirement for acquiring some traits was also reduced.
WoAng's stall sells trait materials for Otherworld Coins, and its pricing was rebalanced. Item prices on the stall roughly doubled while items appear in its sales list less often, so trait materials are scarcer but the coins themselves are easier to come by elsewhere. WoAng now offers up to three quest items at a time, up from one, and the Chapter 1 version of the vendor stocks a Worn Whetstone.
The shop's name is consistently spelled BALUSHA on official materials. Some secondary coverage has used a different spelling, but BALUSHA is the form used by the developer.

Gameplay Loop
Between dives the player invests in the BALUSHA. The June 2026 build expanded this management layer: players can put more into the shop, customize it, hire staff, and negotiate with high-value clients. Recovered artifacts are sold and traded here, and dealing in forbidden relics gradually reveals the city's darker secrets.
Demo systems that support the shop loop include a Storage Box for holding recovered goods, a Lost & Found shop for recovering equipment lost on a failed run, a rotating Product Catalog that governs which items appear, an equipment-repair service at a vendor named Ouldry, and negotiation with VIP clients who buy recovered goods. Items and relics carry grades up to Rare and Legendary, and crafting blueprints let players produce gear from materials.
Equipment repair is handled by the vendor Ouldry, who also lets the player decide whether a repair reduces an item's maximum durability. When that reduction is left on, the amount of maximum durability lost now scales with how much durability remains at the time of repair, so repairing earlier costs less in the long run. See Weapons and Gear for the durability system in full.
