Functions
Campsites are safe points scattered throughout every region in the game. They serve multiple functions and are the only place certain actions can be performed outside of Colhen:
Item | Description |
|---|---|
Rest and recovery | Restore HP and refill Flovian Flask charges. This is the only way to recharge the flask mid-exploration, there is no other refill method. |
Fast travel | Activated campsites become fast travel destinations. Players can teleport between any campsites they've previously rested at via the map. |
Character switching | Swap between playable characters at any campsite. Since progression is account-wide, switching doesn't affect your level or abilities. |
Follower management | Recruit new followers discovered during exploration, dismiss current followers, and swap which companion you're bringing into combat. |
Supply restocking | Eligible items in storage automatically restock into inventory and quickslots when you rest. |
Ability management | Spend Ability Points to unlock new abilities from the Shared or Exclusive skill trees. |
Storage access | Access stored items from any campsite. |
Location
Campsites appear in every combat region: the Northern Ruins, the Frozen Valley, and future areas like Ainle. They tend to be placed before major encounters and at natural resting points in the region's geography. Finding all campsites in a region is worth doing for the fast travel network alone.

Tactical importance
Since the Flovian Flask can only be refilled at campsites, managing when to push deeper into a region and when to fall back to rest is a constant consideration. Running out of flask charges before a boss encounter means either fighting with no healing or backtracking to the last campsite.
The character-switching function also adds tactical depth. If you've been playing Lann through a region but the upcoming boss plays better against Fiona's shield, you can swap at the nearest campsite without losing any progress.
