NO LAW was part of KRAFTON's lineup for gamescom 2026, held at Koelnmesse in Cologne from 26 to 30 August 2026. It was the game's first public showing since its reveal at The Game Awards in December 2025, and the setting for its second trailer.
KRAFTON announced a five-title lineup on 23 June 2026 and filled in the details across two further announcements, on 14 July and in early August. NO LAW appears in all three.
Title | Developer | Note |
|---|---|---|
Unannounced PUBG STUDIOS project | PUBG STUDIOS | Global debut at the show |
NO LAW | Neon Giant | Immersive open-world FPS RPG set in Port Desire |
Project ZETA | NIRVANANA | Multi-team tactical arena game |
Age Twisters | Piccolo Studio | Two-player co-op narrative adventure |
TARAE: The Unbound | Boundary | Isometric Eastern dark fantasy action RPG |
The publisher described the five together as titles "targeting release by 2027". The fact sheet issued for this showing went further for NO LAW specifically, giving it a release schedule of 2027 and answering the release question with "It is currently in development and planned for release in 2027". No month or quarter has been attached. The Steam listing has since changed from to be announced to 2027, while the other three storefronts still show a placeholder. See Release Date and Platforms for the full picture.
The show's opening night showcase on 25 August 2026 carried a new gameplay trailer, the game's second and its first since the reveal. It runs about a minute and a half and states on screen that the footage is in-game capture from a work in progress. The publisher gave the showing the headline "Your Choices, Your Chaos, Your City". It was still the most recent video on the game's channel as of 11 September 2026. See Official Trailer for what the trailer and its accompanying material named.
The KRAFTON booth occupied Hall 9 at Koelnmesse for all five days of the show. The game's own channel published the stand details on 6 August 2026: booth stand B-040, space C-041.

Ahead of the show the publisher said NO LAW would invite visitors into a slice of Port Desire to take on lockpicking and shooting challenges inspired by the game's cyber-noir world. That is what the booth delivered, and the wording turned out to be precise: an activity themed on the game rather than a build of it.
The booth announcement said in general terms that the five titles were there with hands-on demos, but only one of the other games was individually described as having a playable demo, and NO LAW's own line covered challenges inspired by the game's world. No playable NO LAW build existed at the show. Across the whole booth, visitors could also take part in wishlist campaigns, social activities and per-game missions to earn merchandise tied to each title.

The stand was themed as a Peacekeeper Station, and the activity was presented in-world as three assignments. The first asked visitors to follow the game's channels and add it to a wishlist. The second locked their weapon in a sealed safe and had them hunt scattered clues for the code, introduced by a character the material called Director Iris Gamble. The third was a timed shooting test against moving targets, scored against a target figure with something extra for beating it. Completing all three earned merchandise.
The in-world framing around the activity also put names to a few things: a news headline about a massacre at Licon Hill, and the line that the Peacekeepers are always a step behind with no justice on the streets. These names come from show material rather than from the game, so it has not been stated whether any of them appear in the finished product. The show microsite that carried them has since been retired and now redirects to the game's Steam store page, which removes the page but withdraws nothing it said.
The game itself was represented to press by a hands-off theatre demo at the stand. The studio's two co-founders ran it in person, one driving the game on a controller while the other narrated and took questions. Nobody who covered the session played it, and there was no public build to play, so every account of the game running comes from watching rather than from handling it. Reports of the session disagree on how long it lasted, so no figure is given here.
The demo opened in the early game, with Grey Harker leaving his apartment building and crossing the city to track down an informant. The studio played the same route more than once to show different ways through it: one run leaning on stealth, lockpicking and sneaking past sleeping guards, another going in loud with rifles and explosives. Both runs reached the same objective and paid out the same experience, which is the point the studio was making about progression.
Neon Giant also appeared in the Future Games Show at gamescom on 26 August, the day after the trailer premiered, in a set of interviews with members of the team. Written coverage of the demo appeared in two waves: most of it between 26 and 31 August, and a second wave on 7 September.
NO LAW was not nominated for a gamescom award in 2026 and did not win anything at the show. It appears in none of the categories on the official nominee list, and the publisher's only nomination that year was Age Twisters in the Most Wholesome category.
The only official communication about the game published since the show is a developer post of 27 August 2026, put out while the stand was still open. It is a photo set from the booth, framed as Port Desire having opened a new district in Cologne for a few days, with the Peacekeepers on hand to maintain order and a merchandise giveaway running alongside. The post also names Mr. Munch, introduced only as a familiar face from Port Desire who made the trip, alongside a short jingle about grabbing a snack; it does not say whether Mr. Munch is a character, a mascot or a brand. As of 11 September 2026 nothing further has been posted and no new video has appeared.
Public information about NO LAW had come almost entirely from trailers, developer posts and interviews since the reveal. The show was the first time anyone outside the studio saw the game running at length, even though nobody outside the studio played it, and the two systems the publisher chose to represent it at the booth, lockpicking and shooting, indicate which parts of the Gameplay loop the team considers ready to demonstrate.
