Overview

Zhang Lingyu is presented as a disciplined, principled fighter, described in the developer's own character introduction as a solitary and proud cultivator with a pure and sincere heart. He is one of the fighters beyond the small starting group shown in the earliest playtest, and he sits on the growing Characters roster rather than in the fixed test trio.

The developer's own fighter guide is more specific than the spotlight material the wiki previously relied on. It names him as the youngest disciple of the 65th generation Celestial Master Zhang Zhiwei, places him as a high-ranking official at the Celestial Mansion, and identifies his power as Yin Thunder. That last detail turns the general lightning description below into a named technique, and it pairs him against Zhang Chulan, whose guide credits him with Yang Thunder.

The same master's teaching line produced a second announced fighter. Rong Shan is introduced as one of Zhang Zhiwei's direct disciples, though he is billed on striking power rather than on a named art.

In gameplay footage, Zhang Lingyu fights with lightning and thunder based techniques. That lines up with the clearest supernatural power the game has shown so far, the lightning and electric blasts referenced across its combat material, so his kit leans on ranged and burst lightning pressure alongside the shared melee base.
