11The Electric Geordie is a small, hostile lifeform in Subnautica 2 with a specific and infuriating specialty: it latches onto the hull of the Tadpole and drains the vehicle's power at one energy per second. It attacks whether or not anyone is aboard, hunts in packs, and several can attach to one vehicle at once, though the combined drain grows less than linearly.2233Overview4455AttributeDetailClassSalpapodDispositionHostile; targets vehicles firstRaw nutrition+20 food; cooking recommendedReported habitatThe Power Plant and Metal Farms areas of Karakorum, Root Canyon, and the Overgrown Ruins66Appearance and Behavior7788The round body carries four long fins at equal intervals and a circular mouth ringed by finger-like projections and eight suckers. The body is dark, but the fin edges and suckers glow bright blue, which makes an incoming pack visible at night. Against a diver outside a vehicle it delivers a small electric shock, but it prioritizes a nearby Tadpole every time.991010Survival Tips11111212When one attaches, exit the vehicle immediately; the drain continues while you sit inside.Check the whole hull, including the underside and rear. One hit with the Survival Multitool knocks a Geordie off; a pulse from the Sonic Resonator detaches several at once. They dislike light. A Flashlight beam or the light of a Wakemaker drives them away.Scanning the Electric Geordie feeds two biomods: Electric Discharge, and Bioluminescence together with the Sandspear scan.131314+Buddy System visual correction15+16+The August 19, 2026 Buddy System update corrected the brightness of Electric Geordie visual effects. Its creature scan remains part of the BioMod progression described above. Keep its vehicle-focused behavior distinct from the October hotfix's species-specific change to Shiver Leviathans.17+1418Related Pages15191620CreaturesGeordieTwin SitarayBioscanner
