Revision 1

The story of Stronghold 4 is told through a cinematic, fully voice-acted campaign. It is framed as a prequel, set years before the events of the original Stronghold, and presented as the origin of that earlier tale.

The campaign follows Penryn of Wethel, a humble shepherd whose life is upended and who is forced, through trial by fire, to become a leader and commander. Along the way he must contend with hostile outlaws, rival lords, and the harsh elements of the medieval world.

The campaign runs across twenty-two story missions and sits alongside the game's other modes. Beyond Penryn himself, FireFly has not yet revealed the names of other characters or factions in the story.
