High Performance Wire Sets are advanced electronic components produced at the Gear Smith in Starsand Island. Each set combines Gold Wire with additional advanced materials. High Performance Wire Sets are the most-demanded endgame component by quantity: the Electric Drill and Chainsaw each require 8, and both reactor recipes (Mini Reactor, Perpetual Reactor) consume 2 each.

Across both endgame tools and both reactors, the total demand is 20 to 22 High Performance Wire Sets. Stockpile aggressively before chasing endgame builds.
Gold Wire is the bottleneck. Each Wire Set traces back to refined Gold Wire. Mining Gold Ore at Crystalith Hideout and refining it through the Gear Smith feeds this entire chain.
Build Energy Converters with reactors in mind. The Mini Reactor and Perpetual Reactor are themselves needed for Tier III station upgrades and Robot Terminals. Plan reactor demand into your Wire Set forecast.
Run multiple Gear Smiths. Producing 20+ Wire Sets sequentially is slow. Two or three Gear Smiths processing in parallel cuts wait time substantially.
Don't waste raw Gold. Each Gold Ingot has multiple downstream paths (Alloy, Gold Wire, Gold Sheet). Reserve a portion specifically for Wire Set production.
