Bruce is a non-romanceable NPC in Starsand Island. He is a small, energetic child who roams the island wearing a distinctive yellow tracksuit reminiscent of Bruce Lee's iconic jumpsuit. He is passionate about caves, bugs, and all things adventurous, which ties into his involvement with the Explorer profession questline.
Although Bruce cannot be romanced, he participates in the standard friendship system. Give him loved gifts for 15 Affection Points, liked gifts for 10, and chat with him daily for 5.
Bruce is fearless and full of energy. He loves anything related to nature, especially insects and caves. He is always running around the island exploring on his own and has an enthusiasm for adventure that matches Zephyria's Exploration Club spirit. Despite being a child, he plays an important role in the Explorer profession trials.
Unlike most NPCs, Bruce does not have a fixed location. He roams freely around Starsand Town and the surrounding areas. Because he wanders constantly, the best way to find him is to open your phone's Social app and use the Locate or Follow function once you have interacted with him at least once.
Bruce's favourite gifts revolve around insects and nature items. Loved gifts grant +15 Affection, liked gifts grant +10 Affection.

Note: Bruce is one of the few NPCs who likes Red Firefly. Most other characters dislike or hate it.
Bruce plays a key role in the Explorer profession's Intermediate trial. Zephyria directs you to find Bruce, who asks for help building his Sharpshooter Stall. The quest proceeds as follows:
Speak to Zephyria at the Exploration Club to start the Intermediate Explorer trial.
Find Bruce (use the phone's Locate function).
Deliver 3 Alloy and 3 Starflare Core for the Sharpshooter Stall construction.
Once built, you are transported to the stall for a shooting mini-game where you must hit 35 balloons before time runs out using a slingshot.
Completing the challenge clears the Intermediate Explorer trial.
If the slingshot does not appear during the mini-game, try exiting and re-entering the stall. This is a known bug in early builds.
Zephyria — works with Bruce as part of the Explorer profession trial chain.
Bruce loves bug-related gifts. Keep a few Solarwing Butterflies or Glazed Cicadas from your bug catching trips for him.
Because Bruce roams the island, always use the Locate function rather than searching manually.
Reaching 3 hearts with Bruce unlocks access to his room and a treasure chest.
Prepare Alloy and Starflare Core in advance if you are approaching the Intermediate Explorer trial. Alloy requires Gold Ingot + Iron Ingot + Copper Ingot + Coal at Furnace II.
