Initial version (2026-06-06)
The squad in STAR WARS Zero Company is split between story companions, who arrive with set identities and personal classes, and custom Operators you create yourself. The named companions revealed so far each carry a unique class tied to their character, and each brings a personal reason for joining Hawks.
Companion | Background |
|---|---|
A clone trooper and Hawks' former war ally, dry-humored and carrying the weight of a shared disaster | |
A Mandalorian mercenary and one of the last of the ancient Clan Verminoth, along to settle a vendetta | |
A Tognath Jedi Padawan who joins to finish her fallen master's last mission | |
Luco Bronc | An Umbaran sharpshooter who resents the Republic after its invasion of his homeworld |
Kabb Uppercut | A cybernetically enhanced boxer |
Jae Mordant | A former noble who left that life behind |
Alongside the named cast, you recruit and build your own mercenaries at the Den. Custom Operators can be assigned any of the eight base specializations, fully dressed and named to taste, including an astromech droid whose paint job you choose. They fight beside the story companions and are just as vulnerable to permadeath.
None of these people signed up out of patriotism. Each has a private motive, and those motives shape how they get along with one another and with Hawks. Fighting together builds bonds and tactical synergy, but conflicting worldviews can also create friction that the player has to manage through the crew relationship system.
