Mi'pu'mi Games is an independent studio based in Vienna, Austria. It handles the console versions of Solarpunk for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The partnership was announced alongside the confirmed June 8, 2026 release date. Mi'pu'mi is the porting studio, not the game's developer. Its prior console work includes the HITMAN HD Trilogy and engineering support on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Solarpunk was built by Cyberwave, a small studio. Shipping the console versions alongside the PC build required engineering capacity beyond a small team, so publisher rokaplay brought on Mi'pu'mi Games to handle the platform-specific work for the three console versions. The PC build remains Cyberwave's direct responsibility.

Studio name | Mi'pu'mi Games |

Role on Solarpunk | PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 console versions |
All four launch platforms (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2) share the same content and feature set at launch. Cross-play between PC and consoles is not planned at launch, so multiplayer sessions stay within each platform ecosystem.
Mi'pu'mi Games is not the developer of Solarpunk. The studio's contribution is the engineering work that makes the game run on console hardware. Players sometimes confuse porting studios with co-developers; in this project the boundary is explicit. Cyberwave owns the design, the PC build, and the live game; Mi'pu'mi owns the per-platform engineering work for the three console SKUs.
That split shows up in how the launch platforms are organised. PC and console copies share the same multiplayer feature set, the same crafting loop, and the same content roster. Performance, controller behaviour, achievement plumbing, and storefront integration on each console are where the porting work is most visible.
Platform | Build Owner | Storefront |
|---|---|---|
PC | Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG | |
PlayStation 5 | Mi'pu'mi Games | PlayStation Store |
Xbox Series X|S | Mi'pu'mi Games | Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass at launch |
Nintendo Switch 2 | Mi'pu'mi Games | Nintendo eShop |
The Switch 2 build replaces an earlier announcement that targeted the original Nintendo Switch. The Switch 2 line is the supported Nintendo platform at launch; the original-Switch version is no longer part of the current platform list.
