The SOL Shogunate is the ruling political power of the game's setting. Its dominion extends across the solar system, and its elite enjoy Earth-like comforts across the moon's opulent districts.

Structure

The Shogunate preserves the hierarchical shape of historical Japan's shogunate but projects it across an interplanetary scale. The lunar metropolises, each modelled on a different revered era, are the physical symbols of that continuity.

Why Yuzuki Is an Outlaw

The destruction of Yuzuki's samurai family at the hands of a rival clan puts her outside the Shogunate's sanctioned order. As a ronin, she moves through the Shogunate's domains without its protection, which is why her campaign runs through both its official and unofficial corners.
