Overview
Strange Beast Flora (稀兽花种) is a 4-player co-op PVE dungeon system in Roco Kingdom: World. Flower spawns appear on the overworld map, and defeating the dungeon boss allows players to attempt capturing the spirit hidden inside the bloom. Strange Beast Flora dungeons are widely regarded as the most rewarding daily activity in the game, offering Gulu Balls, growth XP, Spectral Crystals, and basic cultivation materials in a single run.
Spawn Mechanics
Strange Beast Flora spawns appear at fixed intervals across the open world. As of the Season 1 update, flower spawn locations are synchronized across all players on the same server. This means every player sees the same flower at the same location with the same spirit bloodline inside. The synchronization was introduced to encourage spontaneous multiplayer encounters; when a rare bloom appears, all nearby players can coordinate to take it on together.
Flower spawns are marked on the minimap with a distinctive floral icon. The color of the icon indicates the approximate level tier of the dungeon. Players can track active spawns through the Events tab in the main menu.
Level Tiers
Strange Beast Flora dungeons span a wide level range, from level 15 to level 55. Higher-tier flowers contain stronger spirits and drop better rewards, but also require a more developed team to clear. The tiers are as follows:
Tier | Level Range | Recommended Team Level | Key Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
Budding Flora | 15-25 | 15-20 | Basic Gulu Balls, small growth XP, common cultivation materials |
Blooming Flora | 26-35 | 25-30 | Improved Gulu Balls, moderate growth XP, Spectral Crystals |
Radiant Flora | 36-45 | 35-40 | Premium Gulu Balls, large growth XP, rare cultivation materials |
Legendary Flora | 46-55 | 45-50 | Top-tier Gulu Balls, massive growth XP, Spectral Crystals, rare spirit bloodlines |
Each tier drops proportionally better rewards. Legendary Flora dungeons at level 46-55 offer the highest return on time invested, but require a well-coordinated team of four players with fully cultivated spirits.
Dungeon Structure
Each Strange Beast Flora dungeon consists of a brief encounter against the flora's guardian enemies, followed by a boss fight. The dungeon scales in difficulty based on the number of participating players (1 to 4), though the full rewards require a 4-player clear. The boss spirit inside the flora has elevated stats compared to its wild counterpart and may possess unique abilities not found on the standard version.
After the boss is defeated, all participating players receive the base rewards (XP, materials, Gulu Balls). Each player then gets a single capture attempt on the boss spirit. Capture success is independent for each player, so one player may capture the spirit while another fails.
Spirit Capture
The post-boss capture phase is the primary reason many players run Strange Beast Flora daily. The spirits available in these dungeons are often difficult or impossible to find in the wild, and the dungeon provides a consistent, repeatable way to encounter them. Higher-tier flora have a greater chance of containing rare bloodlines.
Each player gets one capture attempt per dungeon completion
Capture success rate depends on the ball type used and the spirit's remaining HP after the boss fight
Hybrid spirits can occasionally appear through special dungeon mechanics, offering unique bloodline combinations not available elsewhere
Failed capture attempts do not consume the ball if the dungeon ends (the spirit flees)
Friend World Visits
Players can visit friends' worlds to access Strange Beast Flora spawns that may not be available in their own instance. This is particularly useful when a friend's world has a rare spawn. Visiting a friend's world and joining their dungeon run grants the same rewards as if the flower had appeared in your own world.
The friend visit system encourages maintaining an active social network. Players who regularly visit friends and participate in their dungeon runs effectively double their daily Strange Beast Flora opportunities.

Tips
Always run Strange Beast Flora with a full party of 4 players for maximum rewards and easier boss clears
Use element type advantages against the boss spirit to speed up the fight and preserve your capture balls
Visit friends' worlds daily to access additional spawns you might not have in your own instance
Save your best Gulu Balls for Legendary Flora tier dungeons where rare bloodlines are more likely to appear
Coordinate with your team to focus damage on the boss quickly; prolonged fights increase the risk of knockouts, which reduce individual capture success
