Spirit Kings (精灵王) and Spirit Leader Bosses are among the most powerful encounters in Roco Kingdom: World. Spirit Leader Bosses are enhanced versions of spirits scattered across the open world, featuring boosted stats, unique move pools, and multi-phase fight mechanics. They are significantly harder than normal wild encounters and can drop rare spirit eggs upon defeat.
Spirit Kings represent the highest tier of these encounters, sitting at the top of the boss hierarchy. Obtaining a Spirit King is considered one of the most significant accomplishments in the game. These spirits boast exceptional stats, exclusive moves, and striking visual designs that set them apart from every other creature in the roster. For many players, the pursuit of Spirit Kings is the defining endgame goal.
Before challenging a Spirit Leader Boss or Spirit King, players must meet several prerequisites. The exact requirements vary by encounter, but the general baseline is:

Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
Character Level | Level 34 or higher (varies by encounter) |
Main Story Progress | Complete main story chapters 1 through 6 |
Prerequisite Quests | Clear the dedicated quest chain specific to each Spirit Leader Boss |
Dungeon Clear | Successfully complete the associated high-difficulty dungeon |
Meeting the level requirement alone is not enough. The prerequisite quest chains often involve gathering specific materials, defeating particular elite enemies, and speaking with NPCs across multiple locations. These quests are designed to test a player's overall progression and game knowledge before granting access to the boss encounter.
The game features multiple tiers of boss encounters leading up to Spirit Kings. Understanding this hierarchy helps players gauge their readiness.
Encounter Tier | Description |
|---|---|
Flower Seed Challenges | Elite monster encounters found throughout the open world. Entry point to challenging PvE content; drops useful materials. |
Leader Spirits (首领形态) | Mini-bosses with enhanced forms, boosted stats, unique move pools, and distinctive visual effects compared to standard counterparts. |
Legendary Spirits | Major boss encounters requiring coordinated team strategies. Significantly more powerful than Leader Spirits and guard access to rare rewards. |
Spirit Kings (精灵王) | The ultimate tier. Demand the highest level of preparation, strategy, and team composition. |
Each tier builds on the one before it. Players who struggle with Flower Seed Challenges should focus on leveling and team composition before attempting Leader Spirits. Rushing to a Spirit King encounter without adequate preparation results in swift defeat.
Spirit Leader Bosses are scattered across the open world at fixed locations. Below is a table of known encounters, their locations, element types, and special mechanics.
Boss Name | Location | Element | Fight Mechanics |
|---|---|---|---|
Snow Shadow Ice Spirit | Wind Sleep Snow Mountain | Two-phase fight. Phase 1: ice barrier must be worn down through sustained damage. Phase 2: barrier shatters, boss shifts to aggressive attack pattern with powerful Ice-type moves. | |
Blazing War Hound (烈火战犬) | Volcanic Forge Region | Fire-type boss with burn-inflicting passive. Requires Water or Ground-type coverage to counter effectively. | |
Holy Winged Wing King (圣羽翼王) | Wind Sleep Sanctuary (风眠圣所) | Spirit King tier. Multi-phase boss battle testing handling of powerful Wing-type attacks and aerial patterns. Evolves at Level 40 with 2-star rating. |
The Snow Shadow Ice Spirit is notable for being one of the first multi-phase boss encounters players will face. In the first phase, the ice barrier absorbs all damage while the boss uses relatively weak moves. Once the barrier is shattered in the second phase, the boss becomes extremely dangerous with high-damage Ice attacks. Players who deplete their energy or healing in the first phase often find the second phase overwhelming.
Many Spirit Leader Bosses feature multi-phase fights where the boss changes behavior after certain health or shield thresholds are reached. Common phase transitions include:
Shield break: The boss begins with a shield that must be depleted before the main fight begins. Star Magic may be required to break the shield in the overworld before entering turn-based combat.
Rage phase: When the boss drops below a certain HP threshold, it enters a rage state with increased attack power and speed.
Summon phase: Some bosses summon additional minions mid-fight that must be dealt with before the boss can be damaged further.
Form change: The boss changes its element type or moveset entirely, requiring the player to adapt their strategy mid-battle.
Beyond standard evolution, select spirits can evolve into Leader Forms with enhanced abilities and passive effects. Leader Forms represent a significant power upgrade and are visually distinct from the spirit's normal final form.
Leader Forms gain unique passive abilities that can change how a spirit operates in combat. These passives are exclusive to the Leader Form and cannot be obtained through any other means.
Spirit | Leader Form Passive | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Flower God | Energy Regeneration | Regenerates 7 energy per turn. Allows frequent use of high-cost moves without needing to spend turns on Gather Energy. |
Holy Winged Wing King | Wind Sovereignty | Exclusive Wing-type moves unavailable to any other spirit. Enhanced aerial attack patterns. |
The Flower God's Leader Form is particularly notable because its energy regeneration passive interacts powerfully with the energy system. While other spirits must spend turns Gathering Energy after using expensive moves, the Flower God in Leader Form can sustain an aggressive moveset indefinitely. This makes it one of the most sought-after Leader Forms in competitive play.
World Bosses are cooperative encounters designed for 3 to 5 players. Unlike Spirit Leader Bosses, which can be challenged solo, World Bosses require coordination between multiple trainers to bring down.
Shared damage pool: All players in the group contribute damage to the same health bar. The boss's total HP is scaled for group play.
Group loot: Rewards are distributed to all participating players. Higher damage contribution can yield better individual rewards.
Fixed schedules: World Bosses spawn at specific times and locations on a predictable schedule. Check the in-game event calendar for spawn times.
Dedicated roles: Groups perform best when players fill distinct roles. At minimum, the group needs a damage dealer, a tank to absorb boss attacks, and a support spirit for healing and buffs.
Coordination with friends is strongly recommended for World Boss encounters. Random matchmaking can work, but pre-formed groups with voice communication have a significantly higher success rate, especially for the harder World Boss tiers.
Dragon Breath Parsa (龙息帕萨) is a Dark-type legendary spirit exclusive to Season 1, titled "Dark Night Collecting Light." While not a Spirit King itself, Dragon Breath Parsa represents the pinnacle of seasonal legendary content and is closely associated with the Spirit King tier in terms of power.

Spirit King battles are the most demanding encounters in the game. Proper preparation is the difference between victory and a frustrating wipe.
Prepare a diverse team covering the boss's type weaknesses. Bring multiple spirits that exploit the vulnerability so you have backup if one falls.
Stock up on healing items and status-clearing resources. These fights are long. Running out of healing mid-fight is a common failure reason.
Study attack patterns during initial attempts. It is normal to lose the first few tries. Use early attempts to observe the boss rotation and identify safe windows.
Bring tanky spirits for survivability during extended fights. At least one or two high-defense spirits give breathing room to recover.
Coordinate with friends for World Bosses. Dedicated roles (damage dealer, healer, tank) dramatically improve success rates.
Manage energy carefully. Boss fights last many turns. Do not burn all energy on high-cost moves early; pace your damage output.
Invest in spirit cultivation before attempting the hardest encounters. Natures, EVs, and bloodlines make an enormous difference.
