Overview
Friendly Duel (友谊对决) is the casual PvP mode in Roco Kingdom: World. It is unranked, does not affect the player's Shining Contest rank, and is the primary way to scrim new compositions with friends before queueing ranked.
Access
The Friendly Duel entry sits alongside Shining Contest in the PvP menu. An Enter Ranked checkbox on the same screen toggles between Friendly Duel and ranked queues.
No minimum rank or magic level beyond the standard PvP unlock gate is required.
Players can invite a specific friend for a direct scrim or queue into public matchmaking.
Rules and Matchmaking
Standard 3v3 spirit rotation with morale points carried over between turns.
Matchmaking prioritizes similar team archetypes. Pollution Bloodline and Strange Bloodline lineups tend to match against similar-archetype teams.
Long winning or losing streaks can widen matchmaking and cross-match into different archetypes to keep queue times reasonable.
Rewards
Payouts scale with spirit usage (shiny, nightmare, bloodline variants) and match performance (medals earned, turns played).
Win and loss both contribute to daily reward progress, but wins carry a higher Roco Shell multiplier.
Friendly Duel does not feed into the Light-Collecting Token Shop. For token payouts, play Shining Contest ranked.
April 9, 2026 Patch: Rematch Cap Fix
Before the April 9 patch, direct scrims against a friend bypassed the daily rematch cap that applied to public matches. The patch closed this loophole: both friend and public rematches now share a unified daily cap, preventing unlimited token grinding. The exact daily cap number is displayed in the Friendly Duel entry screen after the fix.
