Overview
Ash Debris Worm (柴渣虫) is a Grass and Fire dual-type spirit exclusive to Season 1 of Roco Kingdom: World. It is one of the eight Season 1 exclusive encounter spirits introduced at the March 26, 2026 launch. Its lore describes it as fire-prone enough that community guides warn against carrying the spirit into forests during autumn.
Evolution
Ash Debris Worm evolves into Burning Firewood Bug (燃薪虫). Community-documented evolution conditions include reaching level 40 and using the skill Scorch (灼烧) to defeat three spirits. Once these requirements are met, the evolution prompt appears.
The final form Burning Firewood Bug carries the species ability Perpetual Burn (灼烧永续), which prevents Scorch status on the opposing side from decaying while Burning Firewood Bug is on the field. Scorch stacks instead continue to build, making Burning Firewood Bug the premier burn enabler in Season 1.
Base Stats
Stat totals for base-form Ash Debris Worm are below. Its HP is the standout stat for the line, which reflects its role as a sustain piece that stays alive long enough to feed Scorch stacks onto the enemy.

How to Obtain
Ash Debris Worm is a Season 1 exclusive encounter triggered through the Nightmare Shackles system. It cannot be purchased or hatched outside of season content.
Sanctuary Fruit Pair
Fruit pair: Two pure Fire-type sanctuary fruits. Ash Debris Worm uses the same farming pair as Bethel.
Rotation: 2 to 2 alternation between the two Fire fruit families; order does not matter.
Stay in sanctuary: Leaving the sanctuary zone resets the Nightmare streak that triggers the exclusive encounter.
Competitive Notes
Offensive coverage: Grass hits Water, Ground, and Stone; Fire hits Grass, Ice, Bug, and Mechanical. Together the pair covers most common defensive cores.
Defensive weaknesses: The shared typing takes heavy damage from Flying, Ice, Poison, and Stone. Stone in particular hits both Grass and Fire supereffectively.
Burn theme: Build the Burning Firewood Bug form for burn-stack teams. Pair it with any partner that applies Scorch reliably on the opening turn.
Tips
Train the line with a Scorch-capable partner. Scorch stacks feed the evolution requirement naturally as you progress to Level 40.
Do not flee from the Nightmare encounter. Fleeing resets the shiny pity counter tracked by the Nightmare Shackles system.
A Season 1 shiny variant exists in the 16 season-exclusive palette. Plan shiny farming around the Fire-Fire fruit pair.
