Confirmed Platforms
Project Windless is in development for PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro), PC, and additional consoles. The State of Play reveal trailer was captured on PS5 Pro running pre-alpha builds. KRAFTON's official wording is that the game is targeting consoles and PC; the publisher has not yet broken out a granular per-platform list beyond PS5.

Xbox Series X|S | Listed across coverage of the reveal as a target platform; KRAFTON's own announcement names PlayStation 5 specifically and refers to other consoles generically |
Nintendo Switch | Not announced. No hints or coverage have suggested a Switch version. |

Release Date
No release date has been announced. KRAFTON's official statement reads: "Additional details, including the release window, will be announced at a later date."
Early press coverage in late 2023 mentioned a 2026 release window, but KRAFTON has not committed publicly to that target. The State of Play trailer presented pre-alpha footage, which leaves room for continued development before launch.
Working Title
"Project Windless" is a working title. The final retail name has not been confirmed, and KRAFTON has indicated it may announce a different name closer to release.
Game Model
Project Windless is a premium, single-player experience. There are no multiplayer modes, co-op modes, or live-service components, and KRAFTON has been explicit that this is a one-time-purchase, play-offline title in the traditional mold. The publisher is KRAFTON, Inc.
Developer
The game is developed by KRAFTON Montréal Studio, led by Patrik Methe. The studio was publicly announced in February 2023 as KRAFTON's first Canadian AAA studio, and Project Windless is its debut title.
Reveal Coverage
The game was unveiled at Sony's State of Play on February 12, 2026. The reveal included a pre-alpha gameplay trailer and the first developer diary featuring Patrik Methe and other core team members.
