Initial weather system guide
Pokemon Pokopia features a dynamic weather system that affects which Pokemon appear and how the environment behaves. While weather changes naturally over time, players can manually control it by constructing Sunny Day Sites or Rain Dance Sites. Certain Pokemon only spawn during specific weather conditions.
To create a weather change site, you need:
1 Wooden Plate (placed on a wall)
2 Castform Weather Charms (flanking the plate)
1 plate of food (such as a Leppa Berry)
1 Pokemon with the appropriate specialty
Castform Weather Charms can be flipped between Rain Form and Sunny Form. Charms are obtained from Professor Tangrowth (during the story), Pokemon Center Terminals, Lost Relics, or towers on Dream Islands.
Bring a Water specialty Pokemon to the weather site. The Pokemon eats the food offering and performs Rain Dance, triggering rain in the area. Rain-exclusive Pokemon:
Pokemon | Notes |
|---|---|
Goomy | First stage; rain only |
Sliggoo | Second stage; rain only |
Goodra | Third stage; rain only |
Bring a Burn specialty Pokemon to the weather site. The Pokemon eats the food offering and performs Sunny Day, triggering clear sunshine. Sun-exclusive Pokemon:
Pokemon | Notes |
|---|---|
Charmander | First stage; sun only |
Charmeleon | Second stage; sun only |
Charizard | Third stage; sun only |
Cacnea | Sun only |
Set up weather sites early to access weather-exclusive Pokemon as soon as possible.
Each area can have its own weather site, so you can have rain in one area and sunshine in another.
Castform Weather Charms are reusable; you only need to provide a new food offering each time you want to change weather.
