Overview

Paint is a unique Pokemon Specialty in Pokemon Pokopia exclusive to Smearguru, a special Smeargle variant. Smearguru recolors furniture and other paintable items using bowls of Paint, which is the only way to change colors of items already placed in your settlement.

What It Does

• Recolors paintable items to any of the 18 standard colors

• Can repaint multiple paintable areas of multi-zone items independently

• Required to apply Paint material; no other method exists for repainting placed items

• Works on most furniture, decorations, building blocks, and event items

Pokemon with Paint Specialty

Smearguru is the only Pokemon with the Paint specialty. Smearguru is a Bleak Beach NPC variant of Smeargle that joins your settlement once you complete its associated quest line. Once befriended, talk to Smearguru and provide bowls of Paint along with the item you want to recolor.

How Paint Bowls Work

Paint bowls are crafted at any Workbench using gathered materials. Each bowl contains one application of paint in a chosen color. Smearguru consumes the bowl when applying paint to an item.

Tips

• Place Smearguru near your main building hub so you can easily bring items to repaint without long travel.

• Stockpile multiple Paint bowls in a Storage Box near Smearguru. Switching colors mid-project is much smoother when you have a variety of paint colors ready.
