Ninetales is a Fire-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Fox Pokemon (Dex #208). It has nine long tails and fur that gleams gold. It is said to live for 1,000 years. Ninetales is the evolved form of Vulpix in the main series. It carries the Burn specialty, allowing it to set fire to flammable objects.

Ninetales is a Rare visitor at the Fluffy Flower Bed. It shares this habitat with Vulpix (Common), Misdreavus (Common), Rookidee (Common), and Mismagius (Very Rare). Available during all times of day in Sunny weather.

Ninetales is a Common visitor at the Nine Flames habitat. It is available during all times of day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). This is the dedicated Ninetales habitat and provides the most reliable encounters.
For the most reliable Ninetales encounters, build the Nine Flames habitat by placing nine Firepits near each other. Ninetales is Common at this habitat, so it should appear frequently. Alternatively, you can try the Fluffy Flower Bed with four Skyland Flowers, but Ninetales is only Rare there. Walk up and interact with Ninetales when it appears to befriend it.
Ninetales has the Burn specialty. Pokemon with the Burn specialty can set fire to flammable objects. Ninetales shares this specialty with its pre-evolution Vulpix. Having Ninetales on your island gives you a reliable fire starter for lighting campfires, clearing brush, and other fire-related tasks.

Ninetales prefers warm environments. Unlike Vulpix, Ninetales enjoys watching stuff and luxury items rather than cute and round objects. Place fire-themed items, soft furnishings, luxury decorations, and flowers near its habitat to boost its Comfort Level.

Ninetales is the evolved form of Vulpix (Dex #207) in the main Pokemon series, evolving when exposed to a Fire Stone. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each must be found at its own habitat independently. Both share the Fluffy Flower Bed habitat (#142), where Vulpix is Common and Ninetales is Rare. Ninetales also has the Nine Flames (#180) as a dedicated habitat where it is Common.
The Nine Flames habitat requires nine Firepits, which can be costly. If you are short on resources, start with the Fluffy Flower Bed and wait for the Rare spawn.
The Nine Flames habitat is thematically perfect for Ninetales, referencing its nine tails. The nine Firepits also count toward Ninetales' fondness for "Lots of fire."
If you build the Fluffy Flower Bed, you gain access to Vulpix, Misdreavus, Rookidee, and Mismagius in addition to Ninetales.
Ninetales prefers Dry-flavored foods, while Vulpix prefers Bitter. Keep this in mind when placing treats near the habitat.
