Combee is a Bug/Flying-type Pokemon that can be befriended in Pokemon Pokopia. It has the Litter specialty, which causes it to periodically drop Honey around the area where it lives. Honey is a valuable material that can be traded to Vespiquen for exclusive furniture items not available through regular crafting recipes.
The Litter specialty means Combee will occasionally leave materials on the ground near its habitat. For Combee specifically, the dropped item is always Honey. Each Litter Pokemon drops a different material:
Pokemon | Litter Drop |
|---|---|
Combee | Honey |
Bellsprout / Weepinbell | Vine Rope |
Cacturne | Squishy Clay |
Mareep / Flaaffy | Fluff |
Jumpluff (event) | Cotton materials |
Honey drops appear as small golden puddles near Combee's habitat. Walk over them to collect. The drop rate is passive and happens automatically over time.
Honey serves two main purposes. First, it is the currency for Vespiquen's Gather Honey exchange, where you trade Honey for exclusive furniture items. Second, Honey is used as a cooking ingredient in certain recipes, notably during the "Time to Party!" quest in Rocky Ridges where Chef Dente needs 5 Honey to prepare the group feast.
Create a flower-themed habitat to attract Combee. Check the Habitat Dex at any Pokemon Center PC for the exact habitat requirements. Combee typically appears in areas with flowers and warm-weather vegetation.
Befriend both Combee and Vespiquen to create a Honey economy in your town: Combee produces Honey via Litter, and Vespiquen converts it into furniture. Place Combee near walkways you frequently traverse so you naturally collect Honey drops during your daily activities. Honey also has a Sweet flavor profile, making it useful for feeding Pokemon that prefer sweet food or for giving to Mosslax when you want the artifact discovery buff.
