Steel and Steam is Chapter 3 of Phantom Blade Zero, continuing through Weeping Creek Valley. The route crosses the Ruthless Archer Camp and Sha-Chi Tower before the rematch with The Hunt at the Great Waterfall.

Reach the Ruthless Archer Camp
Use the Dread Axe on the chained barrier overlooking the lake basin to reach the Battle Report and a chest containing a Focus Pill. The stream below the stone bridge holds the Blood-Stopper Vine for Apprentice Healer. Continue past the shield-bearing enemies and activate the Creek Valley Plains Entrance Bell.
At the Ruthless Archer Camp, deal with elevated archers before committing to fights below. Climb the supported platforms and watchtower, collecting Sha-Chi Tower Ruins from the house. Clearing the final group awards a Blackstone Fragment and Broken-String Bow, the latter needed for Purge the Sect.
The guarded golden chest contains Token of Pursuit. The Garrison Log is near the stairs to the upper watchtower. Activate the camp Bell before continuing across the bridge toward Sha-Chi Tower.
The tower and Hua
Defeat the Shadow Warden outside the tower and activate the first-floor Bell. A route behind the tower leads past Primal Stone Records: Perfect Transcension and a letter from Hua to an underground cavern. Fight through the cavern to the flower field and defeat Hua, Deadly Betrothed, for the Scarlet Wraithblade.
After the fight, take the Twin Flesh Lilies from the altar corpses for Yu'er's Flesh Lily quest. The arena also contains letters belonging to Hua's collectible story. Return to the tower rather than treating the flower-field detour as the exit from the region.
Climb Sha-Chi Tower
Work upward through the tower, watching for monks and furnace-carrying enemies. The floors contain the Sha-Chi Investigation Report, Transcension and What Is Sha-Chi? documents. At the summit, the friendly Watchful Shadow Warden asks for a Primal Stone, beginning A Severed Mindseal.
Follow the route above and behind the Warden to descend by ladder. Defeat the hostile Warden for the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank and open the shortcut back into the tower. The crank allows access to the furnace latch holding the Primal Stone. Returning it progresses the friendly Warden's quest, rather than resolving the entire questline.
Farther down, the Collapsing Mandate Disciple offers Pillars of Kunlun. Continue through the Waterfall Bridge area, checking the side ladder and cave before crossing toward the Great Waterfall.
The Hunt rematch and the exit
Prepare at the Great Waterfall Bell before confronting The Hunt. Winning this encounter awards the Hunter's Chain Sickle. Its traversal function lets Soul scale the cave route behind the waterfall and reach the exit into the next chapter.
On the way out, the stream holds Reply to a Request for Aid, and the shrine route contains The Discordance. Use the Chain Sickle to continue upward, then cross the hanging chain and follow the cave to the exit.
Optional Long Pillar trial
The Weeping Creek Long Pillar lies off the main route southeast of the tower. Interacting with the dragon monument starts a Gold-Masked One trial. Activate its Bell when available to return to the Waking World. This is one of the five trials associated with Bloodline Awakening, not a required step in leaving Weeping Creek Valley.
