Overview
Petit Planet is making its international exhibition debut at gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, where the public can play the game for the first time outside a closed beta. The publisher announced the plan on July 17, 2026, as part of its full show lineup.
gamescom 2026 runs from August 26 to 30, 2026 at Koelnmesse in Cologne. Petit Planet occupies a dedicated exhibition zone inside the publisher's booth in Hall 6.1, Booth B030, a roughly 660 square metre space shared with the publisher's other titles. A separate business-area presence is set up at Booth B051 in Hall 4.2.
Booth Theme and Demo
The Petit Planet area runs under the theme "Connect the Vibe", and its set design is built around the Starsea. Visitors get a hands-on PC demo rather than a video presentation.
The demo casts players as a Planet Tender, the same role the game uses in its own framing. Announced demo activities cover farming, building, exploring the Starsea, and socialising with the fuzzy Neighbors who live alongside the player.

Booth Partners
The booth guide published on August 10, 2026 thanked four technology and hardware partners for supporting the Petit Planet exhibition space: NVIDIA, Antom (Ant International), iBUYPOWER, and DJI. Their involvement covers the hardware and on-site technology behind the playable stations rather than any in-game content.
Release Window Revealed at the Show
A fuller booth guide published on August 10, 2026 confirmed the show dates, the hall and booth number, and the on-floor activity set, but it added no release information. That changed as the show opened. Petit Planet was given a Winter 2026 release window at Opening Night Live, and the game's own channels confirmed it on August 26, 2026 together with a third and final closed beta dated to September 20, 2026.
Opening Night Live and New Trailers
Petit Planet featured in the show's Opening Night Live broadcast, where it was given a Winter 2026 release window. Two videos went out alongside the announcement: a gamescom 2026 Special Video and a Connection Trailer tied to the opening of Final Beta Test sign-ups. Both were published in English, Japanese, and Korean.
The same announcement opened pre-registration on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Epic Games Store, and confirmed that the PC version ships both as a direct client download and through the Epic Games Store. Sign-ups for the Final Beta Test, which starts on September 20, 2026, opened on the show's first day and close on September 14, 2026.
