Initial article on the farming system
Farming is one of the core daily activities in Petit Planet. Players grow crops on their planet's farmland, tending plants from seed to harvest. Yunguo, the cultivator Neighbor, serves as the player's guide for agricultural activities. Harvested crops generate Luca, can be used in cooking recipes, sold at Glenn's shop, or gifted to Neighbors.
Players clear a plot of land, till the soil, plant seeds, water the crops, and wait for them to grow. Different crops have different growth times and seasonal requirements. Watering crops regularly speeds up growth, while neglected plants grow slower or may wilt.
Farming actions consume energy. Tilling, watering, and harvesting each cost a small amount of the player's daily energy pool. Energy regenerates over time and can be restored by eating food. Managing energy across farming, fishing, mining, and other activities is an important part of the daily routine.
Certain crops grow better in specific seasons. Planting a crop in its preferred season may increase yield or reduce growth time. Seeds can be purchased from Glenn's shop or found through exploration during Starsea Voyages.
Harvested crops can be offered to the mystical tree as part of the Luca system. Higher-quality and rarer crops produce more Luca. Farming consistently is one of the most reliable ways to accumulate Luca and advance the planet's development.
