Kenichiro Thomson

Kenichiro Thomson is the English voice actor for Musashi Miyamoto in Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

Casting Confirmation

Thomson's casting was publicly confirmed by Capcom's official Onimusha channels in February 2025, around the time of the first gameplay trailer at PlayStation's State of Play. The announcement paired his name with Toshiro Mifune as Musashi's face model, making the voice-vs-face split an explicit part of the marketing.

Separation From the Face Model

Musashi's visual design is built on Mifune's likeness, but the voice performance is Thomson's. That split lets the game tie Musashi to the most iconic face in samurai cinema while still having a living actor deliver the dialogue work for the English version of the game. The Japanese voice is performed separately by Yoshimasa Hosoya.
