Break Issen

Break Issen is the dedicated execution move in Onimusha: Way of the Sword. When Musashi breaks an enemy's stamina bar, a prompted Break Issen follow-up instantly kills that enemy by dismembering them.

How to Trigger It

• Deal sustained strikes to chip away at an enemy's stamina.

• Land parries on the enemy's swings, which also drains their stamina.

• Once stamina is broken, use the Break Issen prompt to execute.

Combat Flow

Because Break Issen ends a fight instantly, the combat rhythm is usually: open with a few safe hits, parry the retaliation, stamina-break, execute. Stringing together multiple Break Issens lets Musashi burn through groups quickly, which is how the reactive-buff system encourages aggressive but disciplined play.
