Version 1.2 of Neverness to Everness is the 999 Nights update. It went live on July 8, 2026 after a maintenance window (06:00 to 11:00, UTC+8), the same day the game arrived on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Samsung Galaxy Store. The update was first detailed at the Version 1.2 Preview Special Program on June 27, 2026. It runs two limited character banners in sequence: Phase 1 features the Cosmos S-Class Esper Shinku from July 8, and Phase 2 adds the Anima S-Class healer Iroi from July 29.

Shinku is the flagship character of Version 1.2, a Cosmos S-Class Esper who deals damage by swapping between forms, including a Rampage state called Surging Crimson. Her banner, the "Before the Dawn" Limited Board, runs from July 8 to July 29, 2026 (05:59 UTC+8). Alongside Shinku it rate-ups the A-Class characters Mint, Edgar, and Adler. The board also carries the "Overcast Canopy" glider livery, the "Hidden Dragon" Blizzard-V4 livery, and Shinku's outfit "Student of Terrasea", claimable from the Resolve Perks page at 50, 120, and 200 accumulated rolls or obtained randomly through rolls. Unlocking the board requires completing the prologue quest that sends the Appraiser to the Eibon Antique Shop. Her signature Arc, Blushing Mirage, runs as a limited S-Class Arc through the Resolve Special Arc Research Program over the same window.
Iroi headlines the second half of Version 1.2 as an Anima S-Class Esper and the game's first limited dedicated healer. Her signature Arc is The Wrong Gate. Her banner opens on July 29, 2026 and runs to August 19, 2026 (05:59 UTC+8), after Shinku's phase ends.
Beyond the two banners, Version 1.2 adds a new main story episode, "Fighting with a Dragon", which opens up the Warren Continent, a new explorable region. The 999 Nights limited-time event and its companion mini-game run across the same continent from July 8 to August 19, 2026. The update also introduces the Neon Rift Mystery Box event, whose 15-box reward pool includes the limited Draco vehicle, along with several Shinku outfits and Porsche 918 Spyder liveries. July 8 also marks the game's launch on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Samsung Galaxy Store, with cross-progression across the existing platforms.
