The Chameleon Package and Material Selection Boxes let you pick a tier-matched substance, which is useful when RNG leaves you short on the one material your current Ascension Phase is gated on.
Unsolved Numeral is stocked on the Hunter Exchange, so an extra copy is always a Fons purchase away when you fall short.
If RNG is against you, craft a Unsolved Numeral from 3 x Blurred Numeral. Crafting is deterministic, so it is a reliable fallback when a deadline is near.
