Starting city side quests

Look for light-blue quest markers after revealing a district with its Wertheimer Tower. A chain may begin with a message or world object instead of a named NPC. Read new phone messages and finish the current dialogue before advancing time.

The walkthroughs below cover city side quests. Main Episodes and spinoffs follow their own story progression, while hidden city encounters can begin without the same visible quest marker.

Another Art on the Wall

Accept Visit the Artist from the ink-splotched pamphlet near Davidia Train Station's phone booth. Visit Ethan on Acorn Apartments' third floor and inspect his photos. Meet him at the painting on Davidia Avenue East at 02:00, hide behind the tree until morning and photograph the graffiti.

Inspect the next painting, speak with Brades and Riane, then examine the three graffiti sites: east of Riane, behind you, and in the park below the stairs. Return to Ethan's apartment and advance to 02:00 again. Repeat the hiding sequence to encounter Bopp. Its wall-bound phase is followed by a mobile phase. After winning, speak with Ethan at home and leave the building to finish.

Fluffed Away?!

Speak with Eric at Bridge Crossings' 2-Four, give the cotton fabric to the giant Fluffy across the street and inspect the nearby dumpster. Report to Eric, then check the graffiti-wall bin, alley dumpster and bin by the stairs near Coastal Highway Z42F. Defeat the black Fluffy that appears.

Listen to the two staff members and question the nearby residents. Choose "Between 10:00pm - 5:00am the next morning." Set the clock within 22:00-05:00 and revisit the bins in order, ending with the suspicious person by the long stairs. Report to Eric between 12:00 and 22:00.

Goodbye, Yellow Flag Stage!

Speak with Gethrie near the Moomin Street dealership and finish every topic. Dialogue choices do not change the outcome. On the following day between 20:00 and 22:00, read and complete her message conversation.

Meet her across the street at the race start and win Bridge Crossings - Coastal Drift. Return to the dealership and speak with her again. This quest uses a provided race setup, so follow its vehicle selection rather than buying a new car solely for the encounter.

In the Reflection

Speak with the two girls in the Bridge Crossings park, then ask Good Joe at the Vintage Shop about the mirror. Talk to the students outside and visit the Gold Apple Collection Hall in New Herland. Ask Dolores about the "Miraculous Container...".

Visit Kookie at the Miguel grocery shop. Fill the washbasin to the right of the counter, inspect the reflection and speak with Kookie. This opens Switch Appraiser under Settings > Other and awards 50 Bridge Crossings Footprint Points.

Nearby Scenery

Speak with Cassie at Film Orbit Studio. Photograph the Drive-in Theater lookout, underwater tunnel, Unheard Shores seaside station and Bridge Crossings stairs in that order.

Read Cassie's messages between photo stops to receive the next assignment. Return to Film Orbit Studio after the last photo. The listed completion reward is 2,000 Fons.

Pulse of the City

Find Bilar on Film Orbit Studio's second floor. Photograph the street musician on Davidia Avenue, the person barbecuing at Bluegaze Campground, the dancers beside Miguel Avenue's Wertheimer Tower and the student outside Clement Academy.

Read Bilar's messages after each assignment, then return to him at the studio. The listed completion reward is 2,000 Fons.

Rookie Photographer

Speak with Kodak on Film Orbit Studio's first floor. Photograph the studio entrance, nearby seafood restaurant, DSD POP employee on Hankaku Street and the Wertheimer Tower across the road.

Check Kodak's feedback messages between shots. Return to the studio after the tower photo for the listed 2,000 Fons reward.

Sweet Cakes, Bitter Cakes...

Begin at Alice's Bakery during 16:00-20:00 and enter the blue quest marker. Read Alice and Mr. Bag's messages, speak with Alice outside and Rabi in the kitchen, then ask Leah at Myosotis about "Bubbly Paradise...". Investigate the sighting with the JTF member and clear the Anomalies.

Return to the bakery, finish the conversations and rest at Eibon. Follow Mr. Bag's next message back to the bakery. Speak with the JTF member, Rabi and Alice, then revisit Leah. Return to Rabi, wait for Alice to finish Pinkish Dream, speak with Alice and feed the cake to Ghastly Cakefest outside. Talk to Rabi to conclude.

The Records Collector

Speak with Sidd at the Hankaku Street record shop. Listen to the two people outside until they mention Puka Candy. Follow the leads through Asahi Inori at Puka, Dylan at Moby-Dick Bookstore and Kesha on the left inside 9 C Coffee.

Return to Eibon and approach Sakiri and Kiroumaru on the second-floor balcony. After their scene, report to Sidd.

Transform! Huhehaha!

Interact with the upside-down phone booth on Moomin Street and attack it to reveal Mysty. Go down the steps and attack the unusual air-conditioning unit on the right.

Cross to DSD POP and inspect the upside-down black Fluffy plush at the back. Outside, attack the larger striped bollard. Finish by interacting with the third poster after crossing the road.

We! Are! One!

Speak with Ruddy on the Torchwood Avenue overpass and photograph him with the kittens. Attend the advertisement shoot during 15:00-18:00. Ask Ruddy and Nydia about the problem, find Ruddy by the parking-lot cones and inspect his home photos. Interact with the clue box three times.

Question civilians, follow the dog and Auddy to Danzaburou's hideout, then move the food reserves with four interactions. Defeat the transformed Anomaly and speak with JTF. Return the photo, share hot dogs with Ruddy and give Buddy the ticket. On the next day during 14:00-22:00, visit the Drive-in Theater and wait for the dogs to find the Soultractor. Use it, speak with Cerberus, then visit Kodak and take the upstairs photo with Aubury.

Weather Watch

At midnight while it is raining, enter the Coastal Highway Z42 alley near the Security Office. Listen to the students, follow them to the laundromat and offer Fir help finding Pluvio. Follow Bixing to the Rainmen and defeat them.

On the following day, resume Bixing's investigation. Question the neighborhood, inspect May's damp wall beside Mr. Brown Electronics and speak with Selwyn. Follow Bixing to the locked warehouse, climb the front veranda and enter through the upper green door. Investigate downstairs, defeat the escaping Rainmen and speak with Bixing. The achievement reward is claimed separately from the quest bundle.

A Retrograde Poem For You

Speak with Daisy on Ironheart 9th Avenue and find Puff. Help him promote Nekomaru Ramen, then buy Consuelo's Truck Key Fob for 30,000 Fons at 7-Oceans Seafood. Photograph Puff on the refrigerated truck and make the Clicky, Panda Hotpot and Budoriya deliveries before returning it.

Visit the Gold Apple Collection Hall and photograph Puff on the ice sculpture. Take Hethereau Skytower's elevator and photograph him on its roof. At 10:00 the following day, ask about him near Caltrop Lake Station, read Mint's message and collect the grass circle at the lakeside. The quest also awards The Fools' Spring Arc.

Books Are Like Old Friends

Speak with Miles at the Ironheart 9th Avenue newsstand and fill in the order form. Advance to the following day during 10:00-18:00, read his message and inspect Edgar's magazine and the teacup. Find Miles at Caltrop Lake Road's convenience store, then return to question the Surprise Box employee and Miles.

Advance another day within 10:00-18:00, read the messages and speak with Aria, Miles, the visitor and JTF. Speak with Aria again and advance a day. Follow her to Miles by Regalia on Saint Torres Avenue, then visit Crazy Cat, the Ironheart cafe and Miguel station. On the next day within 10:00-18:00, read Miles's message and return to the newsstand.

Drift Away, Legend!

Speak with Larry by the Yurutown car, then Sota at Natsunari Tofu. Drive the shop car to Food First, use both marked parking spaces while speaking with Xanthium, and return to the shop. Taste the tofu, wait for Sota's race scene and drive to the next race. Select the Novus and finish first.

After the second tofu visit, resume during 10:00-18:00: inspect Sota's car, knock on his rear door, show Mint's message and buy champagne from the convenience store. Return and choose "I'm back". Continue during 01:00-04:00, reply to Mint, meet Sota at the start and win the final race. Brake before the sharp linked turns rather than holding full acceleration through them.

More city and detention quests

Let's Go, Delicious Investigators!

After Prologue II, speak with River on Saint Torres Avenue and meet Frizzle. Follow it outside and across to Moby-Dick Bookstore. Ask Joey and the elderly couple by the river about their meals, reporting back to Frizzle between conversations. Speak with Hatsuharu and follow Frizzle past Puka Candy into the alley. After the Danzaburou encounter, meet Frizzle at the bridge, buy Clicky Fries and give them to it. Answer its questions, then read Adler's message to finish.

Norms on the Anomaly Express

Ask Miss Levi at Beyond the Rails about Anomaly Express. At the Bureau, choose "I heard about the Ghost Train..." with the Daily Safety receptionist, then ask Mr. Bag about Norms on the Anomaly Express. Read his invitation and attend the station session with Miss Levi. Take Mr. Bag's exam, check the phone notice, return to the station and complete the Fracture Circle setup. Clear the enemy waves within ten minutes, then collect the ticket from Miss Levi.

Heroes Don't Always Arrive on Moments of Glory

Speak with Iris on Crocodile Clock Avenue and enter the Lamp exhibit. Talk to Tungsten, then find Clarion on the park bench. In his memory, inspect the fallen Garuda, torn paper on the desk to the right and the Garuda against the ramp on the left. Return to Clarion and follow him home. Inspect the script by his room's window, figurine near the stairs and tabloid on the living-room table, then answer the dining-room phone. Follow him to the construction site. Clear each floor through the green and gray gates, take the lift to the top and defeat Nox's group. Speak with Clarion in the park and report to Tungsten.

Miles Apart

Enter Iris's Lamp exhibit and obtain A Switch from Tungsten. Follow the girl to the house and use the switch to alternate bright and dark worlds. In the inspiration sequence, visit the slide, exercise equipment, rocking chair and swing. Choose Wild Rose at the flower shop; it is beside the piano. Collect all four memory items before using the extended second-floor corridor in the dark world.

After submitting the items in the table, pass through the frames and clear their enemies until you reach the girl. Bring the Hair Clip to Patty in the living room. Follow her upstairs, switch dark to speak with the girl, then switch bright and give Patty the letter outside. Report to Tungsten.

Citizen ID

At Hunter Level 14, respond to Sakiri's message and visit Eibon's second floor. Continue during 08:00-12:00 by speaking with Adler, then go to the Bureau with Taygedo. Ask Mr. Bag about Citizen ID, attend the Safety Assessment Room and wait with Barracuda. After both evaluations, collect the ID from Mr. Bag, follow the meeting-room scene and ask him again for the revised ID. Return to Eibon's second floor for the closing scene.

Taygedo in Big Trouble!

After Deal? Deal! becomes available, respond to Taygedo's "Appraiser, help!" message. Find him at Nacupeda Park's Wishing Pool, speak with the fans and follow the marker to talk with him again. Either dialogue option progresses the conversation. This short quest lists no material rewards.

Marketing Strategies Even a Sea Otter Could Understand

After Taygedo in Big Trouble!, read Taygedo's follow-up message. Meet him at Moby-Dick Bookstore, go upstairs, select Check Books and speak with him again. The closing scene completes the quest, which lists no material rewards.

First Step to Growing Your Followers

After Marketing Strategies, answer Taygedo's next message and return to Eibon. Take the Warehouse Key from the small table to the left of the entrance. Open the warehouse and speak with Taygedo. The Beep-Beep Speaker inside can be used in combat.

A Breeze Through the Cage

While detained on Groth Island, progress through lunch to the yard period. Confront Tornado's group beyond the court and choose the defiant response. Let the later cafeteria, library and shower confrontations play out. Follow the black-moss clue to the hideout beside the yard generators. Inside, take the right corridor and kick open the gate. Fight Tornado with the encounter's block and dodge controls; after breaking his shield, use Grapple Throw for heavy damage. Defeat him and finish the closing dialogue.
