Comprehensive update with verified launch stats, lore, drops, recommended Espers, and mechanics
Headless Rider is an Anomaly Hunt encounter in Neverness to Everness. The fight takes place in Hethereau and is part of the game's weekly combat loop. Headless Rider is weak to Psyche damage.
A supernatural entity that appears only in the dead of night, roaming the city streets on a black motorcycle. The legend describes it as targeting high-speed street racers, challenging them to races and harvesting their reckless psyches with a terrifying scythe after victory. Bone-chilling blue flames will burn away all passion.

The team picks below are aligned to the Psyche weakness. Pulling any of these into the active rotation is the highest single-stat increase you can apply to Headless Rider's clear time.

4-Star | Psyche |
Fill the boss's break meter with consistent attacks and reward-heavy defensive inputs. Successful parries and dodges contribute significantly more to the break bar than a hit, and a clean parry also fills the Esper Cycle Meter instantly. Save ultimates and heaviest skills for the stagger window that follows a full break. Headless Rider takes greatly increased damage while staggered, so burst output during this phase largely determines whether the encounter clears quickly. Build the team around the Psyche weakness. Characters aligned with Psyche will see the largest damage multiplier, and team compositions that can enable elemental reactions on top of that attribute will apply additional pressure to the break bar between stagger windows.
The table below lists the boss's raw resistance value for each of the six elements. A lower number marks the element the boss is most vulnerable to. For Headless Rider, that element is Psyche.
Element | Resistance | Note |
|---|---|---|
Cosmos | 0.20 | Standard |
Anima | 0.20 | Standard |
Incantation | 0.20 | Standard |
Chaos | 0.20 | Standard |
Psyche | 0.16 | Weakness |
Lakshana | 0.20 | Standard |
The table below lists Headless Rider's HP, attack, and defense at each of the encounter's difficulty levels. Higher levels yield better drop rates and progression materials at the cost of a tougher fight.

|---|---|---|---|
1 | 21,014 | 170 | 750 |
2 | 39,590 | 284 | 810 |
3 | 86,920 | 454 | 870 |
4 | 138,751 | 681 | 930 |
5 | 415,633 | 1,022 | 990 |
6 | 973,304 | 1,477 | 1,020 |

Headless Rider shares its Psyche-weak slot with Beat King in the same Hethereau cluster. Pairing Fadia with Haniel covers both encounters and keeps Charging Knight Spark Plug stockpiled for Psyche Esper progression.
